Stackabones Electronic Press Kit
Stackabones is an Americana band with a focus on strong songwriting, multi-part vocal harmonies, a tight rhythm section and interesting improvisational explorations. Stackabones plays music from its four-decade legacy of original material, and includes a few tasty covers from the annals of our Americana heritage. Lead by original member Butch Zito, Stackabones continues to bring its original sound to clubs, house concerts and festival stages up and down the East Coast.
Relix Magazine says, "The mixture of very strong melodic tunes, solid rhythmic drive and intense improvisation makes a Stackabones show the amazing experience that it is."
Stackabones band leader Butch Zito was awarded the Established Fellowship in Folk Art-Music from the State of Delaware and the National Endowment for the Arts. This honor is in recognition of his artistic accomplishments, musical expertise and gifted songwriting skills. Stackabones is the coalescence of Butch's songwriting talent, extensive repertoire of original music and a group of highly accomplished musicians. This harmony creates Stackabones' tightly-woven innovative performances which attracts a multi-generational fan base.
